The Rahmi M. Koç Museum was founded in 1991 by businessman Rahmi M. Koç with the goal of preserving Turkey's industrial heritage. Over the years, it has established itself as one of the most important museums in Turkey and even boasts a number of awards for its outstanding exhibits and educational activities. In 2019, it was awarded the Council of Europe's Museum Prize for its contribution to conserving cultural heritage across Europe.
