  : The location of the hotel was central to many of the tourist sites.
  : I had booked the hotel for a three night stay for my visit to Istanbul. When I arrived to the hotel the man at the front desk wasnt overly friendly, barely cracked a smile. When I asked if he had any possible local restaurant recommendations he just said look on TripAdvisor. So not off to a great beginning. Later when I inquired about how to turn on air conditioning in the room (hotel listing said they had AC) and the AC box on the wall had a sign that said not to change temperature and to consult the front desk. I went to the front desk to ask about the AC and another man at the front desk said that it wasnt warm enough yet so they have not turned on the AC. It was warm enough for me so he advised I just open a window but my room at the back of the hotel was over a restaurant so it was very noisy. The final straw for me was when I went to bed and laid on the mattress and it was SO uncomfortable. One side of it has was slanted down on the side towards the bathroom where more people must sit so the mattress was really worn down. When I tried to move more in the center of the bed all I felt was old springs sticking in my back, it certainly was a very old spring mattress that likely needed to be replaced years ago. After several restless hours I searched the internet for a new hotel as I was not going to sleep in this hotel room with a horrible mattress for two more nights. The next day I brought all my bags to the front desk and told the staff I was checking out early. He did not ask why but then asked if I had used anything in the mini bad so they planned to charge me for a bottle of water even though they were not going to offer any refund for the two nights now I was no longer staying. Didnt really want to spend additional money on another hotel but so glad I did as I moved to the lovely Bentley Hotel which had a comfy bed and AC as they had advertised.
